I want a trustee
Our process is a simple one. Taking the brief is the most important element of any recruitment process and we will want to make sure we really understand what it is you are looking for. This will involve at least one face to face meeting with the Chair or senior trustee in charge of the selection process and/or the chief executive. In larger organisations we may need to speak to a number of other people as well. We will help, if necessary, draw up a person specification and job description and will keep you informed throughout the process of progress.
Once we have taken the brief, we will search our database of candidates and come up with our own long-list whom we will interview and reference check before presenting you with a short-list. We aim to do this within 20 working days from taking the brief. Should you require our assistance as either an active panel member or observer at the final panel interviews, we are happy to try and do this.
We offer two levels of service: Standard and Enhanced. The standard service consists of the recruitment process as outlined above and you, as the client, will be automatically put on the BWB/NCVO governance email networks. The Enhanced service includes all the benefits of the Standard Service plus a free place at a half-day trustee induction workshop run jointly by BWB/NCVO three times per year; a free delegate place at the next NCVO BWB/OnBoard Trustee Conference; and a complimentary copy of the Good Trustee Guide produced by NCVO.
Trustees Unlimited has been set up in such a way so that a wide variety of organisations can use its services cost-effectively. We are aware of the financial commitment required to undertake a recruitment process of this nature and so we have tried to remove the financial risk by ensuring that, apart from a small initial engagement fee, the balance is only payable on successful appointment.
